Re: Mon, 7/13

Would a poll be valuable for training? So we can rank what people find the most important and tailor the syllabus appropriately?

Re: Wed, 7/8 Mission Impossible

I'll hop in the strike package with 31's and 154's. I hope 2 of each would be enough to bring down a bunker.

Re: Debrief: Operation SnowFox Destroy Boat Bunker 07.06.20

Oh man, it's so much more awesome being in an aircraft with an RIO. Especially one like Bones who knows how to use the radar. Multiplies your combat effectiveness by a LOT. Had a great time. Shame that the bunker is basically indestructible. Hope we can work out a way to take them down. Maybe just d...

Re: after Snowfox

I'm good for anything. Through the Inferno does sound interesting, but Surrexen's stuff is good too. Ditto that sentiment - I’m game for anything. I’m a big fan of Surrexens stuff but open to trying anything new. I think my only question regarding the Inferno stuff is that is it all “random” / real...

Re: DCS Spotting and Somewhat of Fix?

I fly little 172's IRL and I can tell you, when they're about 10 miles away they are incredibly hard to spot. Within 5 miles you can reliable spot them (we fly kinda slow too so it's easy to see) if you scan hard enough. The problem with DCS is also how the images become pixelated as they travel fur...

Re: Voice attack/Viacom

I use it in SP and it's amazing. It takes a little bit of speech training for the computer, and you need to be relatively specific with your commands, but it definitely makes the hands off and COMS feel more real.

Re: 7/1, Bunker Buster Battle Damage Assessment

This is very odd. I watched at least one bomb land directly on top of the bunker (it was a 31).

Re: Debrief Operation Snowfox 07.01.20

Hey man, you did fine! Never be afraid to use the autopilot to hold altitude when you're heads down. It's the wingman's job to keep up, lighten your load (I was way too slow in forming up). I'll hop into the F14 more often and can we can figure stuff out together. The F18 has trouble keeping pace wi...

I'll take ground strike for both of them. I'll load up the F18 with the litening pod for buddy lasing, a couple of GBU's and fuel pods.

Can an F18 buddy lase for a mirage? Same laser code?

Intercept Geometry

Hey Guys,

I know this is kind of a dry subject but I'm a sucker for efficient procedures. This is a fantastic introduction on how to intercept a bandit:

If anybody has any other material on procedures I'd love to see it!

Re: Comms Discipline

Not sure if it's been brought up before but is SRS an option? It would allow us to stay in TeamSpeak as packages if it gets busy and communicate inter-flight using SRS.
