Won't be on tonight. It's my wedding anniversary. I would've mentioned it sooner but lost track of the days. Normally Deb and I are away at this time of year.
Bummer Grifter but congrats and enjoy the evening!

Re: Training requests

Element/flight Air-to-air intercepts (tactics and COMMS - i.e. areas I need a lot of help in...) Carrier quals, patterns/marshaling (as a flight/group, but we probably need the SuperCarrier ATC feature set to expand) Me and Grif can show you that That would be awesome... will definitely take you bo...

Re: USS Bonhomme Richard in trouble

I'm about 10 miles to the NNW of where it's burning and the south winds this AM definitely brought the smell up here today as well. Thankfully for us the winds switched onshore later this AM but that's not doing everyone ENE of San Diego Bay any favors. Hopefully they're able to get it under control...

Re: Tomcat Tales has been released

I thought the Thud documentary just had a bit more footage vs interview time which was the main difference i found between the two documentaries. I will say, after finally getting around to watching the 2nd half of Tomcat Tales this weekend, I did actually enjoy some of the stories... those ejecting...

Re: Wed, 7/15 Mission Impossible

Are we sure these hardened bunkers have not been whacked out a bit in the last DCS update? I fired up Snowfox in SP last night and took a run at the Bandar Abbas bunkers... dropped 4! separate GBU-31(V)’s on the eastern most bunker with confirmed hits and couldn’t destroy it. I also tried (2) GBU-10...

I’m 100% down for this, I find the perishable skills stuff and training on them as enjoyable as everything else and would do this as much or as little as the rest of the group wants to...

Re: Tomcat Tales has been released

Hey Grifter - great write up on the documentary. I rented it as well and have to admit that while I'm only 1/2 way through it is somewhat disappointing... perhaps my expectations were too high (I did recently watch the Thud video) but it seemed to me 75% of documentary is literally a camera in front...

Re: New Syria Map

Totally agree Bones.. I also appreciate a theater that offers up potential for more low-level A2G tactics and terrain masking opportunities ala his demo mission. I'm admittedly very uneducated on the theater itself but it does look like it has the makings of an intense mission arena

Re: Voice attack/Viacom

Well I decided to take the leap and buy Vaicom Pro. I bought it as a bundle so it has the chatter extension too...if I bought everything but chatter separately, it would have cost more. Been messing around with it...I think I need To actually know what is available to me to speak. Those who have it...

Re: Voice attack/Viacom

FYI - it looks like Voice Attack is 25% off on Steam. I don't know what "being on Steam" means for an application like Voice Attack but if you have a Steam account and are on the fence about Voice Attack it's now under $9....

Re: Tomcat Tales has been released

Nice! Yeah I was searching around this AM looking to see if it was released... I thought I saw somewhere it was going to be available on Amazon Prime but I think I was confused (that's the previous Speed & Angels movie I think).. Anyhow I'll be renting this today for sure! Thanks for the link!

Re: after Snowfox

I'm good for anything. Through the Inferno does sound interesting, but Surrexen's stuff is good too. Ditto that sentiment - I’m game for anything. I’m a big fan of Surrexens stuff but open to trying anything new. I think my only question regarding the Inferno stuff is that is it all “random” / real...

Re: DCS Spotting and Somewhat of Fix?

Sure thing here you go guys (see attached). Yeah until they can increase the resolution of the optics in VR headsets a little help in spotting is necessary (and I have reasonably good eyesight!) I'm really hoping (and somewhat expecting) the jump in native resolution of the Reverb G2 over the Rift S...

Re: DCS Spotting and Somewhat of Fix?

So I can attest that there are definitely labels.lua mods out there that do pass integrity checks - I’m running one. As a player in VR I too had to accept the compromise of enabling labels vs the purity of no-labels in order to get a bit more help spotting targets. My headset is a Rift S which is a ...

Re: after Snowfox

I do think Surrexen is actually working on that right now in my conversations with him. He will not let on much, but has hinted at that. Snowfox is in complete rewrite now. Wipeout, Have you tried Into the Inferno at all? Oh man - that is great to hear that Surrexen is working on something. I reall...
