Make it high and slow and you've got a Cheech and Chong-perfect approach!

Re: new comms procedures

I have less than zero confidence I will get with any of this. Comms are something that I don't understand. It's Chinese to me. No, worse, because I actually know a few words of Chinese and I know NOTHING about this. It's like cooking...I know what foods I like to eat but I can't make myself care eno...

Re: Wed 17 Feb - DEAD

I can do Dodge, although I'd prefer it if DCS could come up with some new names for these things because I feel like I'm in a car commercial...

SimHQ does it the 2nd way and they've had little trouble over the past couple of years. There are issues of not enough people wanting to lead the entire mission and the "regulars" getting tired of leading, but that's about it.

Re: IL-2 Realism Settings

I assume that most of us here dont have a problem with the cockpit view being forced on? I assume most of us want to do our own engine management. You assume wrong. I only fly Il-2 MP with you guys, never SP or anywhere else. I've never wanted to bother with engine management any more than I've wan...

I don't really have anything to say that hasn't been said here by at least several different people. I will just add that as already pointed out SimHQ gets it done with little trouble. However, the big difference is time and numbers. On Military Mondays people mostly show between 7:45 and 8, and by ...

I think with them not rebuilding their civilization it's quite easy for everything to be forgotten after a few hundred years. Then it takes another 140,000 before things get going again with interbreeding with the locals. It seems like Kara was an uber Head Six/Baltar. The difference was EVERYONE co...

Mark Sheppard was Badger on Firefly and very memorable there, so much so I had a hard time thinking of him as Romo at first! Echo's handler was in the 2 Matrix sequels, BTW, if anyone remembers them. He was the guy who "stole" Jada Smith from Larry Fishburne. The guy playing Sierra's handl...

I don't think the issue is with whether AGW or climate change or whatever exists, the issue is "are man's actions causing it/contributing to it" and "can any change in our behavior short of total genocide make a difference"? The thing is we don't know SQUAT about long term climat...

Really. 10.1 includes only minor changes and is fully backwards compatible ie you can run 10.1 games on 10.0 cards just fine, they just won't have every last feature.
