Here is what the guy that put the realism compilation together says about A.C.E.:

"I am, however, currently testing the "compatibility" with A.C.E. - Bluntly put: A.C.E. takes care of 90% of the enhancements discussed in here and even adds a lot more useful, practical features! Before looking at any of the files in here, have a look at this piece of art! Many, many thanks to the people who contributed to create this beauty!"

you should also get the 1.15 beta if you do not yet have it. make sure you install the beta before installing the ACE stuff, or your shortcuts for the beta stuff it puts on your desktop will not be correct. you can just reinstall the ACE stuff and it will fix itself, or you can manually fix the shortcuts (if you install the beta after the ACE stuff).

after installing the ACE mod and ACE islands, modify the ACE mod shortcut and add the ACE islands to it. your shortcut Target line should look like:

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\beta\arma.exe" -nosplash -mod=beta;@ACE;@ACE-Islands

Sadly, I have not tried this yet. Between school, work, and our business, I am slammed and have very little free time. I will try and find some time this week and get this installed.

Doesnt matter really, just as long as I have a link to it.

A single DL is probably easiest, no?

Ah, so this needs the beta? Or will it work without?

yes, it is currently running with 1.15 beta. if you do not want to run the beta (why not?) you can bring the server down and start it without the beta - both server shortcuts are on the desktop.

Hey guys! Been a long long time. Just reinstalled AA after a pretty long hiatus from games in general. After the latest AA2 trailer, I couldn't resist trying out AA. Seems like BIS finally patched most of the bugginess. I sent you an email Softball earlier, was trying to find you guys again. The wings-of-fury.com forum was down and totally forgot you guys are here at RLG. What days do you guys play? Is Ventrilo still used or just in-game voip? Also, is the RLG Standard Install all that's required?

rlg standard is all that is needed.

ventrilo is still the default voice comms, but teamspeak is also available.

Wow, I haven't heard from you in a while BK. How's things eh? I'll try and catch you on Windows Live Messenger sometime.

Honestly, we have been taking a break it seem from Armed Assault. We haven't played it together as a group since about a year ago. I think it would be great to get together again and try out this new mod.

We don't really have any set days like we used to, but with my schedule I have only been able to play on the weekends pretty much. A few of us have been playing a lot of RTS style of games (Sins of a Solar Empire, Supreme Commander, Battle for Middle Earth 2, etc...), but I would enjoy playing Armed Assault again.

Good to hear from you BK, welcome back.

Steel,

Do I just add that profile section you posted to my profile file? Cuz I can't find anything with the Class headers from your post. I looked in all my profile files.
