just going to give some quick impressions ive had so far.

This section dosnt have a hardmode that ive seen. but since its for lvl 20 chars only. you shouldnt need one. the regular explorable areas are not too tough, although there are some mean areas that will kick your ass if your not carefull. now the dungeons are another matter. some not so tough, but the elite missions they rank up there pretty damn hi. in fact you might spend alot of your time with -60 dp if your not carefull. some of the items are quite interesting and cool IMO and some of the games you can do are also fun and a good break from the regular GW grind. polymock is a interesting one, i havnt played it much, but you have peices you setup that have certain abilities. each side has 3 peices you can choose from your registered peices. you start the battle. the team who has the last man standing wins. you get more peices as you win challenges. kinda fun.

in GWEN. you now have skills that have nothing to do with your profesions. you are alowed 3 'PVE' skills on your skill bar at one time, you gain more skills as you gain fame in each group. dwarf, asura, ebon gaurd, and norn.

you also have armor peices that are non-prof specific. such as crowns, blindfolds. masks, and sunglasses. you have to collect the required items to gain them, and they are a +1 to what ever rune you put on there.

all in all the story lines are cool. in fact you learn abit about gwen as an adult.

also, there are bonus missions, if you buy 39.00 in the store, you will get missions that have to do with all the campains you own, also you get to learn what happened to gwen after teh seering. cant wait till it comes out :)

not posting this becuse i think you all will come running back lol. just thought some here might be curious about the game as it stands.

is it worth 39.00? as compaired to nightfall, the quests and heros are just as good, or better in some cases. but being you dont get extra char slot, no extra storage. im not sure, if it was 30 i would say yes, but 39? hmm if you played alot and liked GW in general, then yes. if you werent too hot or got burned out. then maybe not. for me, the biggest thing is building up what your chars in GW2 might be able to get from inheritence threw the hall of monuments. but will have to see what that actualy will be in GW2 to see its worth all the work or not.

Sry BH, no disrespect but if it weren’t pay to play , I would be all over this one. But hey the good news is , is that there are some cool games this fall. Maybe we'll make a drop sometime. Currently I have a full plate with Bioshock, Lost Planet , and I still need to try out Quake Wars. The beta came out for Crysis the other day. I just hope they have it ready before Christmas.

Oh yeah!

Shopping on newegg last week saved me a bunch of money on my car insurance! . I got a new set-up now. Nothing fancy , just a mobo with PCI-E and a Sapphire video card. In a nut shell- this card rules. All right man, I’m still gaming.

Guild Wars (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, Eye of the North) isn't pay to play. Well, not beyond the initial purchase, anyway. After you buy the game the only expense is whatever you have to pay your internet service provider for internet access. There's no monthly fee.

You can buy various upgrades, if you wish - I bought the Game of the Year upgrade for 5 bucks - or extra character slots, but that's optional.

I have Eye of the North, btw.

Like Tach said, this is NOT a pay to play game.. each chapter of the games. you can either link togather, or play as a seperate game. this works for the first one, prophacies, the second Factions. and then finaly nightfall. Eye of the north is an expansion pack, and MUST be linked to one of the fore mentioned chapters. i liked all 3 chapters and added Eye of the north to them. simply becuse i liked being able to share unlocked skills across all characters.

Falker check out the info here http://www.guildwars.com/

Tach, im curious about your impresions so far.. except the part about not being able to jump over stuff :P

I've not done much with GW:EN beyond getting the first two Heroes, but Nightfall is pretty good (IMO much much better than Factions). I like both the Nightfall classes - Dervish and Paragon - they both look good, and they seem to fit in pretty well with everything else. I've got a decent working build for my Derv and Hero Derv, but I haven't quite got my Paragon figured out yet beyond just spamming spear attacks.

The customizable henchies (aka Heroes) thing was a stroke of genius. Equipping your Heroes and working on builds for them is FUN.

I do still wish our characters could jump over those annoying minor obstacles like ditches/banks/rocks/shadows that force them to go around half the map to get to something 10 feet away. After playing City of Heroes, in which your characters can jump over SKYSCRAPERS (or simply fly over them - or teleport around them, or run at 90 MPH or so around them), the limited movement can be frustrating. Plus, when just trotting along through the landscape it would be fun to be able to jump over a bush or rock or another character just for the heck of it, or jump up on a fence and run along the top (LOTRO has jumping, too - and COH and LOTRO both have swimming; the water in LOTRO is flat out amazing to look at).

Anyway, yeah, Nightfall is fun and GW:EN looks like it will be, too.

yea i agree about Nightfall, it was a hell of alot better then factions. i was about to give up playing GW in general when i ran across a guy with his heros in a factions mission and i asked him about it. and he told me he thought it was WELL worth the money compared to factions. so i gave it a shot. im glad i did.

i realy havent played alot with dervish and paragon. i got into the elementalist thing and been having alot of fun with that so far. Night fall DOES get alot harder as you carry on. but the lightbringer skills help with that some.

Gwen was a hoot and a half. but man there are some areas that pissed me off LOL. you would be skipping along dominating the wildlife and then WHHAPP!! you get dominated by either converging partolls or a realy mean group just around the corner. and it didnt help that my first impuse was " gee look a new monster. lets go kill it!! "

some of the cool gear is damn near impossible to get ahold of. the chaos gloves will cost a person somewhere around 300K becuse of the ecto involved. the blindfold i have yet to get a drop of the required item and ive done the dungeon 3 times. but i did get my shades for my ele. so all is well for now :)

well Factions killed it for me and a lot of us for a long time to be hoenst. Some reason I come online to find Tach and Hondo O and purple in this Nightfall and said screw it did the online purchase and started up. To be honest I hated factions but this new one is great and the Heroes idea is just so worth it. Now I have to figure how ot get them to dance in sync

Factions sucked like a porn star......'nuff said.

I liked chapter 1, and i made a shit load of gold and ecto there but the game burned me out with the grind.....funny CoH lately did the same thing with the "New and Improved.....Just Added" Grind......but I still like Coh over GW although after I downloaded 220,000 plus files last night from the GW updater....it was at least visually "shinny"
