The Secret of my Success

Post by Tach Deneva » 26 Nov 2007, 07:29

...apart from my general awesomeness, that is. Ahem.

After Abby activates, hit the rocky dudes on the right, then go straight across to the left (not up the hill - go straight across the middle) and hit those rocky dudes on the left, then immediately thereafter hit the rocky dudes in the middle. When they drop, hit old Abby for maybe 10 seconds or so - get out of the middle before he reactivates - then go immediately if not sooner (as in get there before they even show up again) back to the rocky dudes on the right. Rinse and repeat. Pause only to take out the Torment Claws.

Heroes:
Tahlkora (OwUTM0nC3p1NTurrk6RMJD0DAA)
Zehk (OgBCkLvTq4ryVZae1+cs4VA)
Koss (OQATEN5W55poUiKQlRNXJAIAAA)
or
Melonni (OgCkkuq7KyODzt5OgRwmb2b4WAA)
I don't remember...

Henchies (my usual crew):
Mhenlo
Kihm
Sogolon (paragon)
Herta (earth) or Gehraz (holy)

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

after mindlessly failing around in AB I said WTH and went back to try it with the henchies of doom. I took Vekk and Zed with an air spike build, Tahkora as a prot, Mhenlo, that para hench, the Derv hench, and Cynn.....15min 19sec....master

Grabbed a spear for my para...if I'd have known it was like factions, I would have had the cash and materials for armor...but on 2nd thought, the end game ranger armor looks like crap for NF

The following Hero Build was posted by Lordhelmos on the Guild Wars Guru forums. I've tried it and by golly it's pretty darned effective. Be sure to pay particular attention to the attribute points and runes and weapons to get the most out of it all.

Acolyte Jin or Margrid

R/P ~Barrage Commander~

Recommended Gear: Longbow, 15^50 with +30 health, 20/20 sundering - although a Shortbow may be even better in this build as it will help keep her in range of the Paragon's shouts and chants.

Command: 9
Marks: 15 (sup marks)
Exp: 9 (minor exp)
Wilderness: 9 (minor wild)

Barrage [E]
Distracting Shot
"Go for the Eyes!"
"Stand you Ground!"
Favorable Winds
Whirling Defense
Troll Unguent
Rez

___

Morgahn or Hayda

P/W ~Energizer Battery~

Recommended Gear: Command Shield (20% -5 dmg, +30), 15>50 Spear +30 health Barbed or Sundering or Whatever.

Tactics: 0!!!
Command: 9 (minor command)
Motivation: 15 (sup motivation)
Spear Mastery: 9 (minor spear)
Leadership: 10 (minor leadership)

Flurry (or any IAS/adrenal gain skill, this can be an optional spear attack like wild throw also)
"Go for the Eyes!"
"Watch yourself!"
Song of Restoration {E}
Energizing Finale
Aria of Zeal
Leader's Comfort
Signet of Return
_____

Tahlkora or Dunkoro

Mo/Me~RC Prot Monk~

Recommended Gear: Kephket's Refuge (Cheap and effective) or something similar (HCT 20/HSR 20, +15 Energy [10/5], Enchantments 20%).

Prot: 16 (Sup Prot)
Divine Fav: 10 (Minor)
Inspiration: 9

Guardian
Reversal of Fortune
Prot Spirit
Restore Conditions {E}
Aegis
Inspired/Revealed Hex
Channeling (or E mgmt skill of your choice, Drain Ench or whatever)
Rez Chant

***

Try it - you'll like it!

My Ranger did it with H/H on the first try (using the three heroes described above). My Assassin has not fared as well, although on the last attempt I got as far as Shiro, who proceeded to lay down the proverbial smack.

Moral: *always* take a <bleeeeeeeep> rez signet.

well for starters our team make up was not the best...way 2 squishy and not enough cockblocks to keep the bad guys at distance. 2nd having 2 fire eles with long cast AoE spells and no snares/slows means they walk out of the AoE and proceed to beat you into pudding.....which is exactly what happened.

actually my main spells I used are very fast casting. Only long one is metiour shower which I only used when I had a big group sitting there and trying to target one person but they had spell blocker. Switch targets bring in the rain. My other 4 are more or less spam able is I have the energy (and if I set up right I do for a while).

But ya we need more blocking, Hondo and myself which have atleast 2 fast high samage AoE's but require us to go up the the enemy where having issues there. Needed more blocking for that to work right.
