well, yes - but for a friend that wants to try it out. as soon as he gets time he will get online.

i might be able to buy Hudson's copy, but we need to see if a Steam purchase can be transferred (waiting on their support to answer). also have to wait in Hudson to get back from his trip.

otherwise maybe i will just go back to NWN2, which is effectively free.

just wanting to get online and play, but most everyone is doing STO.

It's really too bad you can't get past the monthly fee thing, you are missing a great game. I understand it's against your principals to pay a monthly fee, but IMO it's worth the price of admission. For $15 a month you get nearly unlimited access to the game (The server is not up 24/7 due to maintenance or patching), and I can't think of another single form of entertainment that I can pay $15 and get 30 days worth of entertainment. Yea, you might not play every day, but you will get your $$ worth.

One thing I like about MMOs is that I can stop playing for a period of time and go back to it. I don't have to keep paying $15 a month when I don't feel like playing. I just suspend my account until I feel like playing again. I have been doing this on and off routine with City of Heroes for the last 4 years, it keeps me coming back for more.

*shrug* I don't know what else to say except maybe wait until everyone gets tired of the game (if at all), or feels like taking a break and playing something else.

if it was just the monthly fee it would be o.k., but the initial outlay ALONG with a monthly fee is what bugs me.

i'll try to get you a buddy key. I saw an email about how to generate one. When I get home today, i'll see how it works and PM you. Been offline for a few days.

I wonder how that buddy key works if he is already using a trial account?
