Disappearing weapons

Post by Stache » 29 Jul 2009, 20:13

Was playing NWN2 last night and did a mission where you have to protect one of nashers lords. At the end of the mission you battle Qaggoth-yeg. However, at the end of the battle my paladin has his weapon missing. anyone have any ideas how to fix this or what caused it. The weapon lost was Re's Redemption and it is quite a weapon.

Any rust monsters in the mission? If NWN2 was based on 2nd Ed I'd ask if there were any other players with characters wearing leather or studded leather...

we've had some item bugginess before ... like when you transition through a load-screen, the weapon in-hand would disappear. I would reload an old save and try replaying that section.

Or, you may be able to find it in a previous export of your char that you could then edit back into your current export of your char ... However, I'm not sure how that would work.

Additionally, I think there's a character editor on nwn vault (google it, it's on ign somewhere) that allows you to add any in-game item to a character. I think it uses the game files for the items.

If you were playing single player you can easily find advice online on how to access the in-game console and "give" yourself the item that was lost. assuming you didn't create it.
