Finished the NWN:SoU campaign.

Post by Softball » 28 Jul 2003, 14:24

Thanks Madrus for playing. It was his first NWN MP experience.

Debi, Madrus, and I finished the NWN:SoU expansion campaign yesterday. It was a tough fight, well except for Madrus, with his 20th level Ranger. ;) I have a 12th level Assassin character (5th Rogue/4th Fighter/3rd Assassin), and he will only get tougher while going up in levels.

Lots of great puzzles and scripts in the NWN:SoU expansion, I really enjoyed it. Even though it was a short campaign, it was very fun.

I am now going to start working on my own module/campaign. It will be based on the Diablo 2 campaigns using the D&D 3rd Edition rules. Should be interesting.

I had a great time in NWN. I was just short of that asabi camp in my SP. now i know what to expect.

I still can't figure out why it won't let me level up into an arcane archer though. I thought i had all the prerequisites.

Arcane Archer

Post by Softball » 28 Jul 2003, 22:53

Maybe it's because your a Paladin? I don't think you can multi-class with a Paladin, not positive though.

I think to be an Arcane Archer, you have to be a Rogue, Ranger, or Fighter with various Bow Skills, and at least one level of Arcane Spell caster (Sorcerer, Wizard), and you have to be an Elf or Half Elf race.

i think i figured it out - you have to have a base attack of 11, which i just got with my 11th level Paladin.

Except now i am stuck in the top of the arcane tower with the wind thing against which my weapons are ineffective and the doors out the other end need a key of some sort. any hints?

I finished the SoU SP campaign today with a 13th level Paladin; AC 41.

Thanks for the help SB - I had missed the Great Library. Found it and kept moving forward; The finish in the SP wasn't as hard as the MP though.

I wonder when they will release the underdark expansion.

the NWN series is one of the best RPG games i played sofar, its a good mix between Diablo series and Baldurs gate.
