Found New TE, want to play

Post by Grifter » 21 Jan 2007, 11:45

Hey guys,

First of all, I fond some new TEs through the Links section at Lead Pursuit. They seem to be pretty good and worth playing. I test flew a few last night and I liked it, but the AI TARCAP that is supposed to protect you, and the SEAD Escort that is supposed to clear the way for your strike flight don't stick task. In other words, the mission's creator did not assign specific targets to these flights, and consequently the TARCAP attacked TU-16 instead of attacking the Mig 23 threat etc. However, I believe that with life pilots in those wings it would make a difference. I edited the mission so that I could successfully complete it; since the package flights weren't doing what was expected, I added a flight of four F15's on Tarcap...they were very helpful. I still had to jink like crazy to avoid the untouched SAMs. Again, would be nice to have live pilots on that mission.

I've gotten a bit better at editing missions. It doesn't take me nearly as long. Perhaps I can use this map as a template and we can make a mini campaign of it. I'm thinking I might have some time near the end of February to do that; in the meantime, we could fly the missions I've found as is or edit them slightly if necessary.

Anyone interested in a Saturday night or Thursday night pick-up of Falcon? I know Jedi and Panz have expressed as much. I might be able to do something after these week because I'll have submitted grades and some of the pressure will be off.

Wouldn't it be great if you could just transfer the old X45 profile and make a few adjustments to it. Instead i gotta start from the begining and try and remember what i had set each button for, never mind it will get me used to the new programming software although it is largely similiar to the old one.

Got the TE's Downloaded and working on my X52 profile now so should be all set by Thursday.

What time zones are you all in with respect to GMT so that i can be sure to meet you all online?
