EECH Screenshots

Post by Softball » 15 Apr 2007, 23:38

Here are a few screenshots I took tonight (Sizes are reduced to 60% of original image). This is the latest version (1.8.4) with all the mods, maps, and textures installed.

so you, just like all the opn source folks, do not take screen shots that show the failing in EECH...

low level terrain detail. high altitude is great, looks very good. the problem is that attack helicopters fly at low altitude - and that is where the traain does not look so good.

hopefully eech2 will fix some of this...

A couple of those shots were pretty close to the terrain. In the first shot I am flying over a hilltop, although you can't really tell in the screen shot. I would say I was no higher than 400 feet in the rest of those screenshots, and yes, that is too high for a helo. I'll get some down low screenshots, I don't remember it looking too bad. If it had ArmA's terrain, with trees and brush and all, now that would be cool.

I too am hoping EECH2 will improve in these areas. I have seen screenshots showing a helo hovering in a treeline, so we shall see.

It still looks 10x better than EECH did at release!
I'm eager to see EE2's improvements, although I worry that it won't be better than this. They did say they've revamped a lot of stuff, though.
