Can't tonight. How about tomorrow and/or thursday though? I touched up the Russian mission. Everything is much closer and more intense. Not easy, but I think fun...

There is a small-ish, few hundred MB, 1.2.10 update. They had some technical difficulties sending out the Dora that warranted a fix.

Let me know which days you can fly this week. I'd like to do some Rise of Flight.

So far Tue-Thu are free. Tue may change, but we can plan for it and if things change we can bump to Wed and/or thu if that works.

Sorry I never made it back last night but apparently I had some bad sectors and unindexed files on my hard drive that Windows had to repair. It took over an hour to complete.

bad sectors implies your hard drive is dying. Highly probable this is the cause of all the disk thrashing you're seeing. You should look into buying a new one (maybe treat yourself to an SSD? :) and get copy your system over before you lose it and have to rebuild it.

Yeah I'm buying an SSD today. Which program do you recommend for me to make a mirror image of my hard drive. I looked up my order history on NewEgg and I bought my current HD over 5 years ago.

I don't know what people are using these days on the Windows side. Even for Windows I'd probably burn a linux live disk and use gparted to copy the system over and use the windows cd/dvd to fix the mbr... the drive may come with a utility or something that does it automatically thouh. Jedi might have an idea too.

Ok so the SSD's were a little too pricey for me so I bought a 4 TB Seagate drive with a much faster buffer and transfer rate than my current HD. I think I have a Ghost CD at work I can use to make a mirror copy of my HD.

there are free tools. I have used Easus Partition Master several times. it can also resize the partition once you move it over. just clone the disk first, then get it booting. then resize the new partition to fill the entire new disk. after you clone the old disk make sure you disconnect it to prevent any accidents! (like accidentally messing with that hdd and data as you can always clone it again if you need to).

Seagate should also have a free toll online that you can use since you bought one. it will probably work to move data only to a Seagate drive.
