Re: Merry Christmas everyone!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 6 years late!
Been awhile, upgraded and fired up my gaming PC for first time in 6 years. What's everyone playing these days?

Messed UP: Rape Computer Game
Amazon selling japanese rape simulation game in UK
OK, hentai is bad enough, but a rape game? This game makes GTA look like a game for toddlers. How messed up do you have to be to even come up with this crap. Even this
Review slams the developers.

Actually, I'd say I've got most of the crapware off my Lappy already. Spent most of last night doing, but it was well worth it. I'll definitely burn a restrore disc; thanks for clarifying Steel. I was really curious about that. Since it is the full OS, then I'll just burn and shelve the restore dis...

Re: Laptop OS question
Stupid question: Do modern laptops require a special version of Windows OS simply because they are, in fact, laptops, or can any PC version of Windows be loaded onto a laptop? Hope the question makes sense. Got my laptop yesterday, I'm typing on it right now in fact, and I'm very pleased with it. H...

Not bad. Now just hope you don't have any memory resource conflicts like I have with my (2) 8800GTXs. When I would install both cards, my network card would stop working. The network card is integrated into the MB, so I can't exactly change slots to try and fix the problem. So for now, I am still r...

This guy came into the server during our weekly race last night. We had to abandon Ventrilo at that point. Banning on username is useless since there is no user authentication. Banning by ip would be difficult as Steel would have to be on at the same time in order to find out which ip he came from, ...

Didn't you see that some of the graphics options are not avail in the demo? The max texture setting available was MEDIUM. Actually MEDIUM is the highest available for texture quality unless you have a 512MB vidcard. I have the full game and no HIGH available to me (7800GTX 256MB). I can't read the ...

I was interested in HD DVDs back when I thought it would use any connector (including component inputs, which is all my HDTV has). Now all this DRM talk and the idea that I need to connect my players to the internet?? Not damn likely. Frankly, good standard DVDs look almost as good as HDTV. You'd t...

I wouldn't recommend a projector for general computing/gaming only. You shouldn't surf write documents etc on a pj. However, if you're into home theatre and movies, etc. Then projectors make sense if you can deal with their limitations. I have my HTPC hooked up to my receiver as well which powers my...

No BK, it was just a CRT type. What kind of price difference are we talking about for CRT vs. Digi at the same resolution abilities? I'm not sure. I never looked into CRT, I don't want to deal with needing it calibrated all the time and light gun convergence etc. Not to mention risk of burnin(not s...

what projector do you use? i have considered that as well, but most are limited to 800x600 or 1024x768 resolutions... of course one can then crank up the FSAA then... Currently using a Infocus 4805. It's only a 480p (854x480) widescreen projector but I normally run my games in 720p(1280x720) to hel...
