Re: Continuing to consider options for upgrading/building new PC. Quick question:

So, I finally took time to turn my PC case around so I can see what type of PSU I have. The case normally sits on my desk facing a wall. My PSU is a CX600, and so when I upgrade I will have to buy a new PSU as well.

Re: PC Cooling. How much, and how do you know?

HI guys, Thanks for the information, which is helpful. I was looking more at a means of predicting my cooling needs to inform my build before actually building it. Wingy, your PC specs are close to what I'm thinking about and so thanks for providing them. Bones, I will check out iCue, as it may prov...

PC Cooling. How much, and how do you know?

I posted this question in another thread, but no one responded. I'm not sure if people just don't know the answer or they simply didn't see my question. So, I'm breaking out the question and asking it again here. Does anyone know how to determine: 1. How cool does your machine currently run? I'm thi...

Re: Continuing to consider options for upgrading/building new PC. Quick question:

Thanks Panzer, but it's not in the budget. I will likely have to drop a grand into this as it is. I may even need to buy a new case. I likely won't be ready to build this until the spring and will have to limp along on my current rig for a while. Does anyone know how to determine: 1. How cool does y...

Re: Continuing to consider options for upgrading/building new PC. Quick question:

Is there a way to determine if the five fan system I own now would be sufficient to keep things cool before installing the new components? Is there an indication in the spec listing of how cool they recommend the box should be? If so, how would o determine the current temps my fans are producing? CW...

Re: Continuing to consider options for upgrading/building new PC. Quick question:

Hmm okay. Guess I’ll go that direction. I’m not really a tech wiz but I’ve managed to build a couple computers with Hammer’s help. I hear the modern systems are easier to put together. I’ll need to watch YT and read up on the practice.

Thanks for your help, Xpen!

Re: Continuing to consider options for upgrading/building new PC. Quick question:

Xpen, Actually, I better budget 1000 because I likely need a stronger PSU as well, although, I need to see if I can figure out how much PSU I already have installed, and likely I need to upgrade my cooling system. My current system has three small fans in the front and one in the back and a large 12...

Re: Continuing to consider options for upgrading/building new PC. Quick question:

Xpendable, that’s a real shame. MS really screwed the consumer on this one. So, I got the idea to just ask Google, and you’re right, of course, win 11 requires at least an eight gen CPU. I’ll have to buy new ram,Mobo, and cpu to upgrade, as Creeper said. I guess I need to put aside like $800. I’m goi...

Re: Foothold Cold War Germany 08.09.25

At least BMS is cheap. But only has one legit module to fly. The rest are F-16 flight models with shells the last I saw, unless they finally fixed that?

Continuing to consider options for upgrading/building new PC. Quick question:

Hi, As we draw nearer to October, when Windows 10 will no longer be supported because Microsoft is so incredibly greedy, I decided to pick up this thread again and continue planning how I'm going to resolve this issue. I ran MS' PC Health checker. I need to be able to enable TPM 2.0 and secure boot....

Damn shame. But, at least Iran won't be able to put them to use. I wonder how operational they were, given that it's 2025.

Derpie Derp Derp limitations! I guess I'll get Ready or Not when I have a chance, as it supports more players.

Re: Not on tonight

For some reason, RLG forum is agonizingly slow. I might be interested in Tuesday nights playing Six Days or Ready or Not. Sorry, Hammer, I'm just not a tank guy, and I know that's definitely your wheelhouse. Anyway, I'm off for at least another week because I'm under a mountain of papers. We're wrap...

Not on tonight

Hi guys, I'm not coming on tonight. I'm finalizing grades and won't be back online until at least June 18th. I also have hiked at all this year because my wife hasn't been able to go. I plan on hiking a fair amount this summer, and so my availability will be limited. I will be away backpacking quite...

Re: eSIM/SBPPE shut down store and downloads

This isn't something I have been paying attention to, but do you think they are running afoul of government secrets? I know DCS needs to be mindful of what they put in their simulations. They have even gone back and changed things from time to time to avoid breaking the law.

Will not be on tonight (in all likelihood).

Hey guys,

I'm off today and like spending tonight hanging out with my wife. So, I may not be on tonight. Just FYI. Should be on next week.
