Re: Wed Nights DCS Starting 041024

OK all. I switched the mission out. It is still Foothold but not Extended. And it is still in Syria. I ran a test on it just now and saw no lag, and the points and persistence worked. So this is what we will fly on Weds. When you get a chance pop in there and make sure everything is working to your ...

Re: Houston we have a problem.

I think either the new update or maybe this mission (not map) is too intense for the server. Creeper and I tested the night before and it seemed fine, but of course that was before the update. It was also a different mission that I had to switch out but only for one that allowed for mods, not unlike...

Foothold Syria 04.10.24

Patch has been installed (thanks Hammer) and mission updated. Creeper and I tested it last night and there was no lag. I jumped in just now to check it runs and to make sure our save game status was good. Appears to be. SOooooo.....tonight get patched up and then head on over to RLG at 8pm Eastern f...

DCS Patch 04.10.24

There is a new DCS patch out today. I'll try to get the server updated. Hopefully it doesn't break what we have fixed.

Re: Wed Nights DCS Starting 041024

All sounds good!

When anyon has the chance pop on the server and just check to make sure you're not getting lag and stuff--I don't recall how intensive Syria was, at least for any other machine but my own.

Wed Nights DCS Starting 041024

Hello all, The problems people are getting with the Foothold Sinai mission seem to all point at the mission having way too many objects and missions going on at once and because it is a newer map with alot of objects that make it hard for people with lower end/older hardware to run. Thus what I prop...

Re: Amazing historical ironies

Oh, yes, I've read many articles about that. BTW, back in 2012 we saw Hitler's parents' grave. It was odd because we also saw pictures of Hitler visiting the site when he annexed Austria and it was weird standing in the same spot as him. Well, we found out later that they moved the grave to a secret...

Yes he did claim to see him, to the point of recognizing him in the picture. But, if you look at that BBC article you will see all the debunking evidence.

Re: Amazing historical ironies

Well, there is this one irony where PVT Tandey from the British Army in 1918 during a battle, had his sights on an unarmed German soldier who was wounded and trying to get to safety, and he declined to shoot him, sparing his life. He didn't know it at the time but it turned out that the German was n...

Foothold Sinai 04.03.24 Announcement

we've been testing Foothold Sinai on the RLG server trying to tweak out the lag problems but haven't had much success. The issues seem to be a newer graphic intensive map on older hardware. When running the mission on an individual machine used as host, it seems to run OK. So the plan for right now ...

Re: DCS: Afghanistan Available for Pre-Purchase

From what I read, the only detailed space right now is the south portion. The rest is flyable but not in high detail. When those come out, if you purchased it, you will get the high detail version. For those who don't purchase the whole map, you can fly the whole map, just that the portions you didn...

RIP Louis Gosset, Jr.

Louis Gosset, Jr passed away today at the age of 87.

I had the opportunity to meet him a few years ago, and introduce him to my wife and son. He was so friendly and kind. I will cherish our conversation and encounter that we had, and I am glad to have met him.

When you get a chance hop on the server and see that your requests for the Harrier and Su-25T went through OK, I just uploaded the mission.

Re: New Foothold Campaign: Sinai 03.21.24

Will be updating the mission on the server soon: 2 Harriers are spawnable at Ben Gurion You were right! All the Harriers everywhere were set to Late Activation....must have been an error. The mission author said nobody flies the Harrier in his squadron so they never noticed! - Fixed the Harrier Spaw...
