Nice picture! I am going to guess your trip included a visit to the USS Midway?

Re: Old Cosplay
I still call it King Dick's Faire. Because it used to be called King Richard's Faire before they renamed it to Renaissance Faire.

WIP on standby ADI for my Harrier
This is very much a work in progress on something that I have designed and built from scratch. It's a working, scaled replica of the standby ADI (attitude instrument) for the Harrier. I have been working on this for about 3 weeks now, and more revisions are still needed. This video is the first time...

Xpendable's 3 air-to-air kills in a span of 2 minutes in a Harrier. Honestly, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Multiplayer game-breaking bug to avoid AIM-120
I saw this item this morning. Probably some of you know this already as it's been there for awhile. This may not really pertain to us since we don't do PVP. But basically, if an AIM-120 is fired at you, all you have to do is go into a fast roll (possibly while pulling back on the stick slight), and ...

Re: Razbam/ED Feud
Yes, I saw this, and I'm aware of what was said by the ED community manager (I'll abbreviate his handle as BN) said that prompted Razbam to make this statement. BN is towing the propaganda line for ED. On a sidenote, this "general announcement" on Razbam's discord resulted in an absolute f...

Re: CA-27 Simpit using a real CA-27 aircraft
There's not much to move to. You have MSFS2024, but that's non-combat. You have BMS which is basically Falcon 4.0 with some improvements. There is a Falcon 5.0 in the works, but not sure how close we are to that being released - I think that's far off. I won't even mention War Thunder, because that'...

Under the weather
I've been sick for the past 5 days and have a horrible cough that sometimes goes on for minutes. I really wanted to be on tonight, but but it's not going to work. My PTT button is still jacked up and an open mic with a bad cough is not going to be fun for anybody!

Re: CA-27 Simpit using a real CA-27 aircraft
My Australian friend who was building this CA27/F-86 simpit using a real fuselage sold the entire project. Some dude offered him a lot of money and he accepted it. I am amazed. They spent thousands of hours (I can only assume) working on this thing with lots of volunteer help. I think he has soured ...

Re: Intel I9 or Intel Core Ultra Processors
Well it's a really hard thing to predict. Would an i9 give you more years? Maybe. What if 3 years from now they invent a processor that is 2X as fast as a top of the line i9 today, and they start pushing games that need that horsepower? Then then it wouldn't matter whether you bought an i7 or an i9,...

Re: Intel I9 or Intel Core Ultra Processors
I have an i7 and it works great for me. The i9 would have been overkill. I think most gamers who go the Intel route don't have i9's. i7 would be more common.

Re: Small Hotfix Today 11.05.24
Getting older has its cons. Yesterday my 7th grader asked for some help with her science project where she had to make a rubber band car with cd disc's for wheels and a cardboard base and some straws and skewers for axles. In a span of about 10 minutes, I somehow managed to cut myself with a pair of...

Re: Iraq now Available for Pre-Order
The laundry list of things that ED has announced they are working on but never delivered is long. Dynamic campaigns... mentioned several years ago and we haven't see anything since. Combined Arms is essentially dead and abandoned - hasn't been worked on for how many years now? It's still very incomp...

Re: Iraq now Available for Pre-Order
The new preorder is already being called "Semiraq" by some because the early access release will likely resemble only 1/4 of the country with the rest of the data completely missing, just as "Halfghanistan" is now. I read that the Afghanistan map was supposed to be complete by no...
