Re: Hey guys!

Vey cool. I have onky been to Krakow once, but Warszawa 14 times. My father was transferred to Poland for a 2 year term as VP of eastern European operations for his company. His family stayed state-side while he lived there in a townhouse he rented on Saska. We got to go visit him a bunch and I ende...

Korea 1952

If anybody is interested in F-86F VS Mig15 dogfighting, my friend Mugga just acquired the 1952 Korea server and community, which is now part of the 10 MVP (Mugga Virtual Playground servers) and I have flown on it a few times and it is a blast. They use only SRS for communications (for Korea 1952) so...

Re: Hey guys!

Bones, sounds like you will be in Warszawa, correct? Dunno if it is still there, but there is a great place for lody (ice cream) in Stare Miasto (Old Town).

I won't be here on 7/14

Going to have to miss this week's mission night as my wife and I are going on a mini vacation for a couple of days while one of my girls is away at camp and my wife's family is watching the rest of the kids. Have not been away without the kids in a few years.

Re: RAZBAM again?

I did actually comment there, and so did one my former air force buddies. Razbam came to their senses and decided not to nix it.

Re: Hey guys!

I am not Polish, but I have been to Poland a bunch of times in the late '90's. Long story. I would love to go back someday.

Re: RAZBAM again?

Yeah, Razbam has their facts wrong. I contacted my USMC harrier pilot friend who flew them for 4 years, and flew them in combat in Afghanistan in 2003. They absolutely DID carry AGM-65F's, and deployed them as well. Whomever Razbam is using as a SME doesn't know what he's talking about.

6/23 - Xpendable out again...

My oldest daughter's softball team won their game last week, which means... they have another playoff game Wednesday (6/23) night. So I'll be unable to join in on the fun yet again. Hopefully next week I'll be back!

I am probably going to have to miss this Wednesday's mission as my oldest daughter has a softball playoff game starting at 8pm. :(

Re: DCS: Liberation interest

Cold starts are not a problem with the Harrier. I can do an abbreviated manual cold start and be ready to fly in 45 seconds... but I know that it is not the case for most of the planes. (I can file my tax return in the time it takes to start an F-14 and align the INS, lol...) Even though cold starts...

Strike Nuclear Facility 060221

Multiple bombs were successfully dropped from multiple planes last night. I didn't catch who all dropped what, but I dropped 10x 500 lb GBU-54 laser-guided bombs from my Harrier on a couple of buildings after the nuclear reactor was hit by one of the others. I grabbed a couple of after-action recon ...

Re: Wednesday night missions

I am good with Syria. After I reduced grass and trees to 0, I don't have much of an issue except for the usual spawn stutter.

Re: Harrier nerf

I talked to my Harrier friend some more. Last week he live streamed DCS on our MVP Discord channel so I could watch him fly the Harrier and ask him questions while he was flying. I learned a few things I didn't know, especially around pre-takeoff checks. I recorded it on my computer so I can study w...

Strike Nuclear Facility CAP 052621

We finally hit some of the targets at the nuclear facility! Thanks for helping keep the enemy fighters occupied! Also thanks to Hammer for the recon Intel and setting up the target points for the JDAM strike. I did 2 Harrier sorties. The first was with 4x1000 lb bombs, and the second was with 10x500...

Re: Mixed VR/Reality Simulation

Cool stuff. I am well versed in Arduino, btw. I used to build Animatronic animation controllers for pneumatic Halloween animatronics as a side business, and they were actually Arduino-based. I also built a custom 1 of a kind RC transmitter for a WWII Fletcher class destroyer with realistic engine or...

Re: Harrier nerf

I talked to my Harrier guy again this morning, just briefly. He finally got to try out the Harrier with the new changes, briefly. He said the performance feels more realistic now. People flying around with 5000 lbs of fuel in a hover was not realistic - although it was fun as heck, it wasn't realist...
