Re: Foothold Missions in the Future

Sorry I missed last night. My wife's bday and also just fatigued after not sleeping during camping last long weekend. I should be good for next wed DCS. I'll dust off the F18.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing.

Re: Foothold Sinai Tonight 082725- IMPORTANT!

Missed you last night Bones. Panzer, Jedi and I had combined taking of Al-Kibrit. Great SEAD and CAP by Panzer/Jedi. Jedi took out the last 2 ground targets and I landed there to capture it. After that we focused on Fayed. Took out all the ground troops except 4 infantry. AH64 George CPG needs to se...

Re: temp shutdown dcs server

This is interesting. it may account for the rubber banding we were experiencing in the past, but no longer when bones/trichome host the mission. No worries. we will carry on...

You should try flying helos. It feels like you're driving a car to the target area. I think the 46nm Trichome and I flew Wednesday took about 20 min to get in range. i was going 110KIAS mostly. The mountains are brutal too.

Re: DCS Wednesday 08.06.25

Well, I was looking forward to being ready to be back on this week and I remember I have to give a public meeting for one of my projects Wednesday night. It should be done at eight, which means I should get home around nine. So I may be late to the party if I make it.

Re: Continuing to consider options for upgrading/building new PC. Quick question:

I struggled with my son's rig to get the liquid cooling to fit just right in his case. He ended up getting errors and stuff with the cpu so we went back to traditional coolermaster fan with case fans. All good now. i have not delved into the liquid cooling market but I probably just messed something...

Re: Continuing to consider options for upgrading/building new PC. Quick question:

Hi Grifter
We miss you on Wednesday nights

If I were you, I’d budget like $350-$500 to get a mobo/cpu/ram combo from micro center and upgrade the guts. Then u can use hard drives and video cards you already have.

Re: July 30 - Mission

There was no rubber banding when Trichome hosted, just issues on his end as the host. He probably has to open a port or something.

Re: Geforce 3090 for sale

I just spent a fortune on my vid card but that's a very good price for a video card that you may never need to upgrade again. It was top of the line in its day and 24gb of memory (?).

Ahh. Great that its neutral. I'll see if I can jump on this weekend and just take Melez with a chinook or something. Trichome did some great damage to the SAM site with his guns before the ZSU lit up our cockpit.

Sorry i missed this. i had to pick up my son from the airport and too tired by the time I got back and it was like 915p. I hope to be on next week. George flies the Apache much more smoothly than I do. Oh, before I forget, here is a tip for MI24 pilots and Jedi specifically: From what I've experienc...
