The thing that made me chuckle most was phoning my mobile phone provider and speaking to a chap who said his name was David Beckham, but was quite clearly a Bombay resident - do they think we're deaf or just stupid?

I was thinking this only the other day....it's amazing how easy it is to communicate globally, and the tasks to which such technological advances have been put. Once it was (and still is) vital for the global economy, international trade etc, but probably making as much of a cultural significance is...

Good on him....after a few 'incidents' when he was a bit younger, he's straightened up pretty well...i feel very sorry for his older brother, Prince William, who as second in line to the throne is apparently not allowed to serve in Afghanistan or Iraq iirc

We actually pay three times - at the pump for petrol, we have to pay road tax, ostensibly for road maintenance, but also banded depending on emissions, and now we have to pay to get into places. I'll have a work with Lancer and see what he can remember re: the 151 mod orders etc - bear in mind it's been some time since we've played GR though, so he may have forgotten some of the details.

I read a lot of the Warhammer 40,000 novels - especially recommended would be the Gaunt's Ghosts sereis (about a stealth recon infantry unit) and the Eisenhorn trilogy (about an imperial inquisitor)...never going to break records for writing quality, but very entertaining nonetheless.
