Well, So far so Good! It’s a fast paced first person shooter with lots action. I found a video the other day that said a few programmers from Call of Duty Modern Warfare signed up to create this game. Let me see if I can find the link…… Ahh.. there are so many videos out here on the topic- and then the relentless commercials keep me waiting. But if I find it , I will drop the link in here. 👍

I just went through another training session , for a combat soldier’ before I started the campaign tonight. Our Heavy Cruiser was under attack and my Mech training was delayed for the time being . I was handed a weapon before we got in our pods for a hot combat drop down to the planet. , and then all hell broke out right away. Most of the AI reinforcement soldiers are waiting for me to clear the way. I think about the only thing they are good for is to distract the enemy long enough so I can get a clean shot in. Then a few enemy Mechs dropped down and kicked all our asses. I’m still a noob , but I think I can get the hang of this. Other than that - I went on the server today and found several pilots out there waiting for a game.

In case you were wondering….

Titanfall 2 is Not a pay to play game if you buy it on Steam. You will need to register with EA games to play , but registration is free. EA Games offer a wide verity of game to play online (including Titanfall 2 ) for a small monthly fee. Although Steam Players will have complete access to everything the game has to offer , with no restrictions and no monthly fees.

And for the players who are afraid of getting “Titanfall 2” due to the “low player count,” now is the best time to buy it.. The game offers an arsenal of weapons that players have at their disposal plus the movement system in Titanfall is still one of the best and most fluid in any FPS game so far.

Here is the link that will explain Titanfall in more detail.

the ai waiting for you to do something sounds a lot like CoD type stuff, very scripted.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

RECOMMENDED:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Win 7/8/8.1/10 64bit
Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 or equivalent
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 45 GB available space

Currently , I’m running an old Intel Xeon i5-4590 4-Core 3.3GHz 6MB LGA 1150 Processor - with an old Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 and it’s looking pretty good. I’ve had no issues or glitches- I bet the graphics would look really rich if I had a better rig.

Right now I’m trying to find a power cell to bring back to my fallen commanders Mech. Along the way I’ve had to shoot a few alien raptors who want to feed on me , several enemy soldiers - and a few flying droids that I can take out with my sniper rifle. Might as well call me Dr. Gordon Freeman

It looks like there is no Mech Lab , other than that it’s a pretty cool FPS and the games plays fine with a mouse. I had to disembark from my Mech to go open a few hanger doors while the Mechs AI provided cover fire for me. It never runs out of ammo… It gets really intense sometimes , while other times it’s a cake walk - jumping around and climbing up the canyon walls. Right now I’m picking up several combat weapons laying around , although my Mech only has the one assault weapon for now until I am able to level up and unlock another weapon. It’s Fun! I will keep an eye out for friendly’s!

Wow! I’ve been playing this game for awhile now and looks like I’m only 20% of the way through. And it keeps getting harder! I was looking for a way to take a video of the in-game play- some of these scenes are really Bizarre and Challenging.

We got a Brand New Mech, just hanging there and I can’t get inside it – yet

Nice color and graphics though - not dark gloomy and depressing like MW5 - Just saying

This is a Time Machine the scientist built at ARES Division, which was destroyed and abandoned.
Only the automated security detail was left behind.

No I’ve never tried it. Have you? Is it user friendly ? Does it work good?

I gave this game a rest for the time being because it’s so fast-paced - I’m only about half way through it . Though It’s still fun.. I was looking for some more relaxed games to play during the holidays – like Zero-K - I advanced so far this game and have new tech and advanced bots ,that it’s more like a long cake walk nowadays , until they set a mission timer. Beyond that I was kicking around Star Wars Battlefront II a few times. But yes – taking some videos of the in game play would more informative.

I found world of warcraft to be an easy pace of play. You can go off and play solo working on side quests to level up, or you can wander around gathering materials and then make things that are progressively useful, when you want low stress, simple fun things to do. Otherwise, if you want fast action and team play you can jump on the random dungeon finder, and get tossed into a party to go fight a few bosses together. There's also PVP which I have just started doing, and find I'm not bad at it either.

Okay thanks for the update. I like Real-time strategy and Shooter games , but yes I think I would like to try Role-playing games and take a walk around if I have a sward with me. It seems I have to do battle in one way or another to make it interesting.

Hey Brons - Are you running a high end graphics card ??   I was thinking of updating my GT1030 GPU ,   but really.... what games are out there worth playing that requires a high end GPU. - which cost several hundred dollars these days.  IDK - Nothing I play... But the main reason I want a newer  GPU  is for a better picture. Recently I bought a VIZIO  1080P  that has a great picture while watching TV ,however.. when I switch to my computer , the picture looks faded ,  not as clear.- and no adjustment on the TV or graphics card will fix it , So I believe it's the  GPU.  I hate to squander my money  but then I see some of these guys around here who go balls out on a spending spree and get  the absolute best GPU no matter what the cost.   LAMO   ;)

Well I bought a newer low profile GeForce graphics card that did the trick. With the latest Nvidia driver I was able to adjust the Gamma settings to brighten the picture and bring up the sharpness. Now I can read the text on the screen without wearing my glasses. Although I didn’t drop a bunch of money this GPU card - it has small heat sink with a tiny fan... I’ll try not to overheat it. O_o - Anything else would have cost me a few hundred bucks more - so we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully next year there won’t be a chip shortage and we can see the GPU prices come back down again.

Well after shopping around for a better price , I found Newegg prices are higher than Amazon these days. . just saying - I also had to have the Nvidia Ge-Force because it has superior graphics and a better high-end performance compared to AMD Radeon. So ended up getting the GT-1050 - I don’t think the FPS is any faster , but it does have improved graphics compared to my other GT-1030. I’m still open for ideas or any suggestions on a better graphics card , but in the meantime I ordered a dual PCI slot fan that fits in under the low profile GT-1050 graphics card I just installed - and then put in a few more case fans. I think that should help keep it cool enough for the time being.. One thing I’m concerned about is, I went into Bios) and set the back case fan at 100%, - but it slows down every time I boot up Windows. I wonder if the CPU is controlling the fan speed to keep them in sync with the CPU temperature. .

where your card is made depends upon the brand. MOST are made in China or Taiwan.

There are a lot of low quality Chinese knock off GPU’s out there and it’s hard to find a reliable GPU these days. I’ve tried EVGA GPU’S that had great graphics ,’ they are an American company’. but after three different graphics cards burned out on me , I decided to switch to another brand. . Then later on I also found their PSU’s are not up to spec either. I’ve never tried MSI or ZOTAC who are Partnered with: AMD, Nvidia. I’ve Mostly had better luck with Asus or Gigabyte that are both made in Taiwan . Although Asus always cost a bit more .

Fun Facts:
GPU” stands for “graphics processing unit” and it refers specifically to the specialized chip designed for graphics processing tasks, as the name clearly implies. In turn, the term graphics card refers to more than just the GPU—it includes the PCB circuit board, the memory configuration, the cooling, the output ports, and exterior design elements that are mostly subcontracted components which are put together from all over the world.
