I first did my best aerial refueling ever in a Hornet, taking on over 6000lbs of gas until the tanker ran out of gas to give then flew off. I then went to land at Batumi but it was fogged in. So I did a TACAN RWY30 instrument approach in. THe visbility was less than 1/4 mile so really I shouldn't have done it and I should have abandoned it at 1.0 nm from the runway, which was the missed approach point. But I went ahead anyway. Had I been able to see the runway at that range, I woudl then make the precision visual correction to get the runway. But I couldn't so I landed per the chart anyway. You will see how accurate the chart was despite it being a non precision approach.

That's what is so magical about instrument approaches!
