Come to think of it I'm not sure if last night was training or an actual mission but hey, train as you fight, fight as you train!

We had some great coordination in the air in the first sortie with good mutual support against the bandits. I was able to rack up 4 kills in the Tomcat (my 5th got stolen by an AI F-16 apparently) and Trichome got a kill IIRC as well. Afterwards, we met up to do some dual tanking with the KC-135, which was pretty cool. I wonder if there are any screenshots of that. It was Trichome's first go at in flight refueling and even though he did not plug, the attempts were notable and I hope he continues to work at it. He decided to divert to Beirut, and I gave him escort. We both landed safely.

On the second sortie I met Hammer near Incirlik where he was already working over the enemy with his Shrike attacks. The Shrike is pretty impressive, and it and the A-4 mods are great. I arrived on scene with a Hornet carrying HARMs but Hammer's attacks scared their SAMs into shutting down, leaving me no HARM targets. It was a good thing I had Mavericks as well, and I took out two SA-10 elements. Without any more air to ground missiles to use, I resorted to the gun and succeeded in destroying the last SA-10 element with 20mm fire. I think that was my first gun run kill in at least a long time if not at all.

In the interest of time, instead of going back to the boat, I did a LOC RWY 5 instrument approach into Incirlik and landed safely.

As an aside, I think the scoreboard is borked again. I got 4 kills in the Tomcat but it was only showing 3. If you look at the video I posted, you can clearly see I killed 4. Watch via YouTube not via the forums so you can click on the timestamps to jump to the more interesting parts and see those confirmed kills.

A few days ago I was flying with some buddies and we had weird results too. I had killed an SA-15 and my buddy had killed an HP7, confirmed on screen, but neither of us got credit for it.

Sounds like DCS is up to no good again...
