Wed 26 May, 2021 Cleafield - Operation Jedi Canyon

Post by Hammer »

Typical start time 1745-1800 Pacific. I changed the date since we need to continue the mission this week. We have not yet destroyed any of the facilities. I will get this up in the mission editor prior to mission night so I can get the correct coordinates set.

I suggest we select one aircraft as Anvil to hit the facilities with either JSOW (F-18) or Cruise missile (JF-17) from standoff distance while everyone else focuses on protecting that strike element and DEAD.

Tonight we hit the Russians where it hurts. They need to understand that Georgia is a free country and the world wants them to back off.

Destroy a Russian Nuclear facility suspected of manufacturing and storing weapon grade nuclear material. Approach at low level through the mountains for as long as possible. Voodoo and Aires may need to go to a higher flight level sooner to achieve their missions of escort and sead.

ATO and intel attached.

"Jedi Canyon"? Interesting name.

This mission was created by Wipeout, he came up with the name. Given the suggested low-level access approach, it might be quite appropriate.

alternatively, Harriers (maybe I will fly with Xpendable if I can remember how to do this) can drop pre-planned ordnance from up high from a decent distance as well.

then everyone else can focus on A2A and DEAD.

I do not believe that GBU-38's will work on these targets. We need heavier stuff.

I got into the mission editor and determined good coordinates for the targets. updated in the kneeboard and in attached ATO above.

Excellent, Hammer. Are we going to try a JDAM mission again in Harriers?
