No one showed up!

Post by PanzerMeyer »

I knew Grifter and Bones would be out but I'm surprised that absolutely no one showed up except for me and Jedi. I felt like I was attending an REO Speedwagon concert at some casino. PDT_Armataz_01_22

I kept checking the site (instead of going on TS) to see if a post was done about a mission and nothing. I also checked the server up until about 9:15 and it didnt appear up.

I'll make sure to check TS next time.....

I am on a partial vacation - as I stated on TS a couple weeks ago I would not likely be on for 2 weeks as I have family in town.

i have tried to keep up with posting a note about game night but was unable to for Mon/Wed this week.

I have been out of commission for a few weeks due to some chaos going on over at MVP which imploded and then reformed minus VA (virtual airshow). The implosion was caused by a few bad actors that were disgruntled by a few things and then they started harassing staff and even made some threats. I am one of the community admins from MVP and witnessed the implosion first hand. The guy who foots the bill and the reason for the existence of MVP decided that it wasn't worth the insults or threats and he pulled the plug. But then there was an outpouring of support from the community, even from Cap of Grim Reapers and Eagle Dynamics, and due to the show of support MVP returned minus VA. That all came to a head last week. This week my excuse is I was on vacation to Galena, IL. I meant to send out a note to say that I should be back next week but I forgot. Gotta get back to the action!

I am quite pleased we have nowhere near that level of drama here. One might say we have none.

Galena is nice, we were there a couple of years ago for my niece's graduation from nearby Loras College, where she then got engaged!

I'm pretty good with my geography and knowledge of Illinois but Galena is one town I've not heard of. PDT_Armataz_01_12

General/President US Grant was from there. You can visit his home. It's right by the Mississippi between IL and IA and also WI.

I would definitely visit his house if I'm ever in Galena. Thanks for the tip!

Sorry to hear about this drama. I hate drama.

On your way to Galena, did you see that F-4 Phantom II sitting in the middle of nowhere? It's like a small homemade museum or something.

I was a geography minor in college with a focus on US geography. I've never been to IL but I learned most of the major cities and rivers and other details.

LOL. I just looked it up and Galena has a population of 3,429. I think my townhouse community has more people than that. PDT_Armataz_01_14

I think I might have, actually. I pointed it out to others in the car but they didn't care.
