IL 2 updates

I just installed IL 2 on my computer and was wondering what patches and updates I needed. What are we using?

I believe it is the 1.2 patch for IL2, that is the latest version I remember seeing installed on my computer.

Won't load game? Screen goes black and then ctd. ATI Radeon 9500 Pro? Not sure what to do, I've tried numerous settings in setup program?

I should point out that I upgraded to 1.2 directly. Did I need to install another patch prior to that?

Yes, you need to go up the line of patches. I think it goes:

1.0-1.1 patch http://www.3dgamers.com/games/il2sturmovik/

1.1-1.2 patch http://www.3dgamers.com/games/il2sturmovik/

There is a 1.2ov patch, but I can't remember if I installed the 1.2ov patch or not. Just install 1.1 and 1.2 for now.

Do I need any versions before 1.1 ie. 1.0.4 1.0.4b 1.0.4b2 etc.?

No. Just apply the 1.0-1.1 upgrade to ANY version of 1.04 that you have.

I think everyone here just installed IL2 then the 1.0-1.1 patch then the 1.1 to 1.2 patch and that is it.
