Had a great time. It was free too.
The F-22 was stationed in FL and had been damaged by a Hurricane and the USAF chose to just retire it to a museum instead of repairing it.
I didnt get any pics but they had a few really nice exhibits on ICBM missile launch facilities and the Korean Air War. Lots of MOH recipients from Utah and their stories.
If any of you ever happen to visit Salt Lake City, its definitely worth the 30 min drive north.

Great shots! What was the story with the F-117 again? They are restoring it? That Klingon cloaking device as hilarious!

Yeah my focus was in manual focus and I forgot to change it back on my Nikon when I got inside the hangers (of which they have 3 now).
One of the F117 pilots dabbled in art and painted that picture on the inside bay doors of his F117. He actually did that on several of the F-117's. Pretty cool personal addition. We need the F117 in DCS!
They're still restoring the F117. Really cool to see one up close and remember the first gulf war from when I was in college. Brought back a lot of memories. I spent 2 hours there and probably should have extended the visit to absorb more of the history.

Thanks.
One thing I read, and I think I'm remembering this correctly, is that the F-22 is the only aircraft that an go supersonic without afterburners. Pretty cool.

Hey Creeper,
Thanks for sharing, man. These are fantastic! There is a chance that my wife and I will be attending RIAT over in England this year. Will definitely take photos.
