Let's talk HOTAS

Hammer was nice enough to let me put hands on his VKB joystick tonight. Very very very nice.

What do y'all have and do you like it? I've about got the green light to upgrade from my TM HOTAS X

Considering the VKB Gladiator Premium

I'm using the Winwing Orion F/A-18 HOTAS. Got it for $500 +shipping and I'm quite happy with it.

I also have the X-56 that I've used for sims and still use for space flight.

I looked at that, the pricing though is way out of my budget. Glad you like it, I found a couple good videos on it, I think Spudknocker did a few reviews on that same stick.

I'm a lefty so my HOTAS is a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick.

I own a VKB MK III Gunfighter. Quite happy with it. The configuration software is a total pain in the neck to learn how to use, but once you learn how to use it, the possibilities are endless. Not that you necessarily need to use it, as you can program the stick mostly in DCS. The build quality feels solid to me and the control is fairly precise, although I'm considering adding new springs and such inside for even sturdier, heavier resistance. I like that you can adjust stuff like that. I own a TWCS from TM. I like it well enough and it works fairly well. I'm waiting on VKB to release their throttle. It's still in development.
