ED User Files

Post by Trichome »

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has preferred user files from the ED site they recommend downloading? I've downloaded some F/A-18c RCAF skins and kneeboard stuff but thats about it. No missions SP or MP. Has anyone tried any of those? (although for us with TTI and Liberation are they needed?)
Just curious.....

Cheers....

lots of people grab files, mostly missions. there are some decent ones, and a lot of trash. that is, of course, where i get the TTI and other missions from (except Liberation).

We used to fly Surrexen's missions quite a bit, they are still doable as well but his newer missions are too much for our small group.

Almost everything requires customization though.

I downloaded this one and so far so good. Its caller "TheWay" - There is a minor bug that still needs to be repaired (refer to the latest notes) but this has been pretty helpful loading waypoints into the Hornet for use with TOO mode. Much better than writing it all down and then manually transferring to the Hornet

Supported modules:

F-16
F/A-18 (make sure you are not in the TAC menu)
A-10C and A-10C2

Any of the ones by Sedlo and Preacher (or is it Prophet?) are really really good and have great voiceovers, good storylines, and are alot of fun.

So they are, in this case, single missions. Sometimes campaigns and MP also.

"TheWay" has a new release.....

https://github.com/aronCiucu/DCSTheWay/releases

Changes in this release include:

Support for all in game maps such as NTTR, Marianas etc which didn't work previously
F-16 Hotfix after the MGRS conversion feature by ED changed the procedure to enter the waypoints
Hornet pilots are now required to manually box PRECISE before transfer, the GUI will remind them of this
Fixed bug when the dot stays on screen after transfer

"TheWay" has another update (Oct 31) if anyone is interested. Sure beats manually entering coordinates in most situations.

Added support for AV8BNA Harrier
Added support for Mirage 2000
Added support for Ka-50 Blackshark
Fixed issue on F-16 with high framerates
